About me
I was born in Italy, in Como, and I grew up there. Foreign languages, travelling, culture and writing have always been my big passions. After my university studies in Foreign Languages and Literatures in Milan, I came to Germany for an internship at the Italian Cultural Institute in Wolfsburg. Then I moved to Giessen and I worked at a research in German Literature at university. I’ve been living here since 2004 and I’ve always been active in the cultural field and with languages. I completed a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies and I worked many years as a freelance journalist for the local newspaper Gießener Zeitung (www.giessener-zeitung.de). For three years, till end 2025, I supported CGIL Bildungswerk e.V. in the organization of their Italian courses for children (Italian as mother-tongue) and in their internal and external communication. Currently I'm working as a translator and interpreter, I'm teaching Italian for adults and I am responsible for the press and public relations in the German-Italian Association of Central Hesse (www.dig-mittelhessen.de).
